Final 4 - Climbing Stairs


Given:

  • $\mbox{A 65 kg person climbs some 6 meter stairs.}$

Question:

  • $\mbox{How much work is done?} $

Rationale:

  • $ W = m g h $

Calculate:

  • $ W =  (65) (10) (6) = 3,900 \; \mbox{joules} $
